We decided to launch the new bottles in fully recyclable amber plastic, because we listened to our customers. Yes, plastic is thought of as “bad” however it is safer for use in your bathroom and kitchen. BUT if you don’t throw it away, and keep reusing it then this is doing good! This is why we are now offering fully recyclable aluminium refill pouches too! Every bottle we sell is refillable with our refill pouches, which means that you – our amazing customers – cut plastic waste by 90%.


BAO’s indulgent naturally scented Hand + Body Cream refill contains Sweet Orange, Geranium and May Chang essential oils to offer an uplifting treat for your hands and body. This gentle Hand + Body Cream is also vegan, cruelty free and contains no parabens or sulphates, so it's kind to your skin.

All our products are hand-made in small batches in our studio in Dorset in the UK. This means your skin is only getting the freshest plant nutrients, just as if you were getting fresh fruit and veg from the farmer's market. Learn more about our ingredients here.

BAO uses glass and aluminium wherever possible, but fully recyclable plastic is used for safety in some of the bottle. All of our outer box cartons are made using World Land Trust cardboard, which has the lowest carbon footprint for printing. We use biodegradable peanuts to pack our orders so we avoid any accidents in transit. Learn more about our environmental impact here.

Add a couple of pumps to a warm bubble bath and drift away to pure relaxation. Then after a shower or bath, take a couple of pumps of oil into your palms and massage in deep circular motions onto damp skin - this allows for better absorption.
